There is a local gym in town called Mick Doyle’s kickboxing and Fitness Center where I train a couple times a week and each year they do a kick workout in honor of the new year. So, since it is now 2011, we did 2,011 kicks in a single workout! Mick did a great job of leading the group and it took about 90 minutes and had all kinds of crazy stuff with it, but it was a great way to celebrate the new year in a fun and unique way! There were lots of fun people and even some little ones who joined in! My good friend and running buddy Dan (aka Mad Hatter) joined me and was my partner for many of the kick sequences.
